What is the Competency-Based Curriculum?

The Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) is Kenya's national education system, introduced to shift the focus of learning from rote memorisation to skills, values, and real-world application. At its core, CBC ensures that every learner develops practical competencies - critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration - alongside academic knowledge.
